Tacx

From Virtual Cycling Wiki

Working on your fitness, riding in the next higher class, improving times, becoming the domestique and then the leader. Performing locally, then regionally, nationally and, who knows, internationally. Count on us. We will work with you: you will look after the training and the discipline, we will do the equipment and the facilities. A deal like this works.

We follow cycle sport closely and take our inspiration from sportsmen and women with ambition. It is for them that we develop trainers, programmes and accessories in order that every competitive cyclist can meet the challenge at each stage of his programme.

Continuous innovation and working to the highest levels of quality are fixed ingredients in our approach, since people like Boonen, Flecha and Boogerd only derive satisfaction from the best: we assume you think along the same lines.

This means getting better every day. You will see it on your display: more power, more fitness. You will experience it outside as you lead the pack or withstand the most arduous terrain. One day you are standing on the podium with the feeling: I've won. I have won against opponents and ... against myself. That is when you feel Tacx.

[edit] History

The history of Tacx BV starts in 1935 with the birth of the founder, Koos Tacx. His interest in the sport of cycling went back to the early days. He became a member of a cycling club, bought a cycle shop on his 22nd birthday, started manufacturing components, built a factory and even in advanced years he still rode (over 20 miles) from Alkmaar to Heemstede. With his talent and perseverance he achieved his aim: the foundation for an industrial company that enjoys a reputation for excellence with amateurs and pros throughout the world. Investing in innovation and a quest for the very best quality in all respects have led to constant growth. In addition to trainers, Tacx develops and manufactures cycle tools, assembly stands, water bottles and bottle cages.
